I began my journey in education as a substitute teacher.  This led to a long-term position as a paraprofessional at LCPS.  The 2026-27 school year will be my fourth year at LCPS.   I have always enjoyed working with children in one way or another, whether through babysitting or teaching in children's church.  Watching children grow, learn, and knowing I play a role in their development has always been incredibly rewarding to me.  As a special education paraprofessional, I believe I learn just as much from my students as they learn from me. For me, learning extends far beyond worksheets.  It is about building trust, understanding each student's unique needs, meeting them where they are, and ensuring they feel seen and supported.
          My husband and I have three children, two boys and one girl, and we have proudly called Leesburg home for the past nine years.  We are passionate about serving others and making a meaningful difference in our community.  That calling inspired my husband to become a police officer and me to pursue a career in special education.  I am deeply honored to serve Lee County Primary School as Paraprofessional of the Year and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact for years to come.
