Chelsea Geiger
Mrs. Chelsea Geiger has been teaching kindergarten at Lee County Primary School since 2016. She received an undergraduate degree from The University of Georgia in Child & Family Development in 2012 where she met her husband, Robert Geiger. After graduation, Mrs. Geiger taught Georgia Pre-K for 3 years in Oconee County. During those 3 years she also earned a Masters of Art in Teaching from The University of Georgia. After moving back home to Leesburg to teach at LCPS, Mrs. Geiger completed her Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia. Mrs. Geiger has a Gifted Education Endorsement and Reading Endorsement, and she has also been accepted into the Lee County Aspiring Leaders Program for the 2026-2027 school year.
Mrs. Geiger grew up in Leesburg and even attended LCPS as a student. She and Robert have been married for 12 years and have two children, Marilyn (8) and Royston (5). Mrs. Geiger enjoys spending time outside fishing or riding the boat with her family, reading, exercising, and coaching tumbling at G3 Athletics. In the summers, she enjoys swimming in the pool and visiting the beach. Mrs. Geiger is a member of Hope City United Church where she is involved with their City Kids and Tiny Town children’s ministry.
Mrs. Geiger’s teaching philosophy is all about building relationships and creating a safe and loving environment for her kindergarteners. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching a group of strangers become a family in only 10 short months. Witnessing the learning that happens is the magic sprinkled on top. Her love for teaching all started as a child, watching her own mother pour herself into her students' lives. Now as a wife, mother of two, and educato, r she hopes that she can be that light in others’ lives as well.
