Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) is a process whereby faculty and staff focus more on the compliant appropriate behavior of LCPS students. Students will be recognized and/or rewarded for positive behavior in various ways. Awarded tickets are placed in containers in the media center for drawings for prizes every afternoon. Special privileges, “no homework” passes, extra center time, and coupons for being an office assistant are some of the positive behavior rewards that students receive. We also acknowledge teacher and staff positive behaviors with monthly prizes. These expectations are evident throughout our school on the discipline matrices posted throughout the school and the daily news program. Schoolwide Tickets are given in the hallway, Music, P.E., Media Center, Art, etc.
Our behavior expectations at LCPS are:
Be Kind
Be Strong
Be Well
Our Character Education program is Character Strong.
